I would try Hobby Lobby over Michael’s. I have seen lots of Disney stuff there and their prices are better too.

You should call the stores near you to ask what they have in stock – stores in different locations have different selections, so it’s impossible to say without knowing exactly what stores you’re talking about.

I always buy on sale I never pay full price for anything, and if you do buy paper get one of the books, I bought one that had 200 sheets for like $10 that’s 10 cents a sheet so it’s really not that bad when you consider buying them separately it costs $50 and up for 200 sheets. Hobby lobby will have scrapbook stuff on sale a lot of times. The books are all what you prefer. you only have to buy them once for each boy so you might want something that will last throughout the years. If you have a printer you can do the digital scrapbooking thing but you also need the programs and the know how on how to do them. Another cost cutting secret is never throw anything away and use markers or pens whenever possible, meaning don’t buy the stickers and stuff for titles use your own artistic skills whenever possible I have included a link to some of the pages I have done, If you look around the site mine are simpler than some peoples but I like to focus on the pictures not the embellishments.

You can most certainly make your own scrapbooks I make them at times and they are a lot of fun. I also like it that you can customise your album to the size you want, the number of pages you have in it etc, when you make your own.

most home stores throw out their old wallpaper sample books. One of those would be enough to do a few albums. I used cheap photo albums from the dollar store, embellished with buttons and things (old jewelry bits, tack heads, ‘o’ rings, cards) from around the house. Works fine. You can also do digital scrapbooking online, by uploading photos on your pc, but that seemed like too much work, though it does also preserve the photos, and avoid the ‘who gets the pic of all of you’ dilema, without having to reprint photos times 3.

i live in Australia and my favorite is http://www.chookscraps.com.au – they have beautiful papers and they always send a free gift with the order – it is cheap for shipping here in Australia, but not sure where you live – it is delivered usually within a week.
